In the year 2000 Graeme exhibited a ceramic teapot in the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow. A pyramid metronome, its triangular face representing an A, with a figure of 8 handle, a capital-T spout, and a tiny e, hand-painted on the white porcelain, it asked the question "where is the tea?" An accompanying note explained that the T was in the EasT and that, in Eastern medical practice, sTimulation of balance and good health were the goal rather than the T-less simulation of Western pharmaceuticals.
This was arguably the beginning of OTTO RICCI, an alias, who would go on to paint the walls of his Glasgow apartment and cover cotton and silk fabrics with colour. He has sold drawings and been commissioned to design outfits for the stage. He has recently been invited to exhibit in Venice in 2025.
